All the example comments did seem obnoxious and offensive. However I have never bought into the silly notion that one has a right to go through life without being offended.

I appreciate feedback about this or that being offensive, but the "please stop" part is a request, not a command. Sometimes my aim is to be offensive. That's one of my only ways to push back. I believe in rhetoric and polemics.

If that's "male privilege" then I hope women have the same privilege soon. I support them in their struggle. Kids too. Don't let them brainwash you into thinking you have a right to not be offended. It's not even in the UN Declaration of Human Rights.

I'm very often offended by obnoxiousness. I don't think I'm in a position to demand that life be otherwise. I will continue to be offended, and that's perfectly OK.
