This could be for down the road, i.e. I’m not suggesting this reading should be next (next is to be one by versus about Bucky, am I right?), but I’d like to toss it in the hopper / queue:

It’s about a grandma and superfan of Bucky’s who wants her ward to “be the next Bucky” (in that way a lot of 1900s kids were under pressure to “be the next Einstein”). The kid in question discovers youthful rebellion (what else?), and that raises the question: might these two themes (“Bucky style utopianism” and “punk rebelliousness”) be reconciled?

A movie was based on the book, and I took the opportunity of that coming out to ask “what would that kid be learning, as someone versed in thinking in the same grooves?” — and so, my School of Tomorrow was born (I haven’t read the book yet).
