Sarcastic Summary
Lame duckers of the West Wing have sought more final glory in their roles as final act fearless leaders, by bumbling into another PR trap wherein they become easy to portray as quislings, already their Achilles Heel vis-a-vis the mowing down of Palestinians at the behest of Monster U (a global network, no sense blaming any one nation-state).
Instead of standing up for their own interests, these political quacks have become as foreign agents, lobbying for foreign interests inside their own political establishment. No wonder they sound so alien and out of touch.
This hollow behavior makes it easy for their adversaries to portray them as lost without a moral compass, adrift, and willing to perform as empty-headed gofers for The Man.
But who is The Man in this instance?
In the Marxist view, updated with modern jargon, it’s The Grunch, a synonym for the MEC or military-entertainment complex. The MEC is behind much of the social media, especially of the fictional sort (such as West Wing, the TV show). Their audience lives inside a media-created bubble, one that’s eminently poppable.
